John Day National Monument, Oregon

Painted Hills at John Day National Monument, Oregon. Name the minerals that create these colors!!!
Dirk stepped over this baby rattler in the trail!  Not too  scary, just a foot long and heading for cover!
Hi, I am trying to figure out how this works.  I guess I just figured out the text section.  We are also still figuring out the RV.  Hot water not working:(

Discovered a whole new secret storage area:)

Today learned about all the extinct mammals of Eastern Oregon:  Toy dirk-toothed cats, giraffe deer, bear dogs, oreodonts, fanged mouse deer, rhino hippos........glad they are all extinct!
